Ever been typing an email message and suddenly its simply all gone.
It only ever seems to happen with the really long ones, but anyway now there is a solution.
There is a greasemonkey user script which will automatically save the one that you are writing every so often. Note that like all greasemonkey scripts firefox and the greasemonkey extension are required — both absolutely free of course)
There is a another script too called the Humane Gmail Autosave but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be compatible with the latest version of Gmail. Like what you find with the script — get a whole load more at the full database.
// Update: Gmail have added their own autosave. It doesn’t seem to do anything though.
//Update 2: Some days after Gmail announced the Auto Save, my account has been enabled. It seems to save as soon as you have finished writing. It is fairly neat.
