Woke up at around 10 ish and left the hotel to go to a modern art museum. It turned out to be a little too modern. The most engaging attraction was the window cleaner hanging off the building. Then went to a more traditional gallery whuch was good and got our cinema tickets for The Reader. We had lunch with Barry at the Lodge – a near empty pub, but with good food. Also had personal TVs for some of the tables… Quite high tech. In the afternoon went to the Discovery Museum which was pretty big and very good. Well presented and interesting material – mainly about Newcastle through the ages. Then we hit Costa for about an hour. Overheard some biazarre careers advice and heard some Apple news on iPhone 3.0 from Engadget. Went to see The Reader which was very good. Then we headed to a Tesco which was open 24 hours. Bought (amongst other things) some jeans and a jumper. Got a takeaway pizza and munched it by the river. Spent the rest of the night in a lovely Spoons and an odd takeaway. At 1.15 we jumped on a coach and we woke up in Sheffield.

Surprise adventure started today. Woke up and headed to town with Lizzie to sort out some banking errands. All money is now sorted for the America trip. Bought a large lunch from Tesco. Went to Meadowhall for our coach to somewhere secret which turned out to be: Newcastle. Journey was fine. First of 3 Megabus journeys this week. Checked into the hotel and wandered about town. Lots of shops. Bought a hat following Nick’s advice. Had tea at Spoons and enquired about cinema for tomorrow. Watched TV in the hotel and drifted to sleep.

The fifth farmers market in Nether Edge started at midday. It was the third market where the Davysons have had a cafe in the yard. Success with teas and coffees. Limited successes with cuddly toys and hot cross buns. Around £300 raised for St. Luke’s. Took the furniture back to Radio Sheffield and went to Lizzie’s house. Watched Horne and Corden episode 1 and Arrested Development season 3 episodes 3 & 4. Surprise adventure tomorrow.

Woke to finish up packing and then got a train back to Sheffield. Met at the station by Lizzie and my parents. Went round collecting tables for the Farmers Market on Sunday. Met Alba the Spanish student that’s been staying in my room at home. Played a game of “Oca” and chatted.

Happy March 13th! Had a supervision at 10 which I made it to – but only just. Returned to college and prepared stuff for putting into storage. Then heard news of Berni’s jump through a window on the first floor last night. Madness. Went to the Eagle for an end of term lunch. Did the computing exercise in the afternoon and worked on the yearbook in the evening. Watched Seinfeld too with milkshake and croissants.

Had a fun access day with Mayflower school. Rolling down Castle Mound. Then in the evening the bar crawl got going. We made it all the way to Robinson. Fitz too. Epic.

Lent Term finished today. Not a massive effect on me – I was doing access anyway. Had a group from Sheffield and did a long tour in the afternoon. Sorted out Clare and Emma may ball work. Tea at Kings with Beth & everyone. Good stuff. Library in the evening – not productive. Need to do computing task 3. Free Press fruit juice finished the day. I’m feeling a little ill. I’m off to bed.

So say DC. Fair enough. Spent the afternoon doing some crafting for Andy K and a supervision. A lot of work to do now for tomorrow. Time to focus.

Woke lateish and didn’t go to the one lecture that was scheduled. Worked on my QCM getting a few questions attempted. Handed it in and went to complain at McDonalds. Heard news from Lizzie that she got a first in her exam. Congratulations! Tried to work on some programming in the afternoon. Didn’t get much done. Watched The Departed and worked on moving Andy Kershaw Media to wordpress. We’re getting there. Horrible supervision tomorrow. I’m listening DC…
